Suture Characteristics

• VICRYL Coated Suture (polyglactin 910) is a synthetic, sterile, absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer obtained from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide.

Indications

• The product is indicated for ligations and/or approximations of smooth tissues in general, including ophthalmic procedures.
• It is not indicated for use in cardiovascular and neurological tissues.
• It is recommended that this suture, being absorbable, not be used where the approximation of tissues under tension is required.
