Tegaderm roll is a transparent, non-sterile polyethylene film with hypoallergenic acrylate adhesive. It is breathable in the sense that it allows oxygen to enter and water vapour to escape and is also impermeable to bacteria and viruses and water and other liquids. Its transparency allows the user to monitor without having to remove the patch.
Its function is to prevent and treat skin lesions, protect endangered skin and cover and protect injured skin, functioning as a secondary dressing. It can be cut in different sizes, adapting easily to the anatomical contours and thus allowing movements without skin retraction. It is capable of remaining up to one week, seven days, without causing any type of skin maceration. The size of the product is equivalent to 15cm x 10m.
