The product is intended for the thermal treatment of rheumatic pain, blood circulation disorder and neuralgias.
After thermal treatment in large areas, an orthostatic imbalance can occur when standing up. In this case, the patient must remain seated for a few minutes.
Hot applications in combination with substances that leave the skin hyperemiated in the place, can cause much stronger skin irritations.
For your safety, the user should wear protective gloves and a leather apron during the heating of the Fango-Paraffin and during the preparation on the patient.
Fango-Paraffin can be used in any type of preparation equipment. The broken plates are heated to the desired temperature, which generally corresponds to 100ºC. During the melting period, the paste must be stirred from time to time. The heated paste is placed at a temperature of 60º - 64ºC and at a height of 2 or 3cm on a special sheet. After cooling to 50/52ºC, the paste should be applied to the patient. It is necessary to repair if the special sheet is placed with the outer side. The application temperature is reached when the paste surface has formed a matt skin and when the paste does not stick when touching with the finger. Regardless of the consistency test, the temperature must be controlled with a suitable thermometer that is placed on the paste.
The user must be careful not to put the paste at a higher temperature at 50/52ºC.
The paste must be well shaped.
The patient is wrapped with a linen cloth and on top with a wool blanket.
The packing time should be between 30-45 minutes, if not prescribed otherwise. Then it should rest for 20-30 minutes.
The paste already used can be used again 30 times. To use it again, it must be heated after each application to 130ºC.
