While a conventional ECG examines the electrical activity of the heart for a few seconds, the holter monitor examines the changes over a period of time, while an individual performs his or her daily activities, including sleeping.
Indications
- The product is designed to detect sporadic (intermittent) abnormalities and to correlate their symptoms with any changes in the electrocardiogram.
# Mode of use
- The stickers are placed on the chest to which electrodes are attached that connect them to the monitor.
- The electrodes detect the electrical pattern of the heart over 24 hours, while the monitor records and stores the data, which will be interpreted later.
- The monitor is placed in a bag, worn at the waist or neck.
