Grassolind 10x10cm fat gauze impregnated with Vaseline

# Composition

The product consists of a wide cotton gauze interlaced with dehydrated ointment composed of white vaseline, monocarbon diglycerin ester and fatty acid dicarbon and carbohydrate wax, microcrystalline.

# Properties and mode of action

The interlaced allows the exudate to reach the secondary and absorbent layer, avoiding the accumulation of secretions. The vaseline ointment has the function of keeping the wound edges intact, promote granulation and epithelialization and prevent the compress from adhering to the wound. The removal of the compresses is not an atraumatic process and does not interfere with the granulation tissue and the new epithelium.

Indications

The product is indicated for the general treatment of wounds, especially for superficial exudative wounds, such as abrasions, lacerations, deep wounds, burns, scalds, acid burns, to cover the donor and recipient areas of grafted skin, in plastic and cosmetic surgery, removal of nails and circumcisions. Grassolind is useful in dermatology and for patients with sensitive skin or sensitive to certain medications, due to its neutral properties of the fat base.

Dose and mode of application

The product should be applied as follows:

• Open the sterile packaging;
• Remove Grassolind neutral with the protective papers and cut it to wound size;
• After removing one of the covering papers, place a sterile absorbent dressing on the paraffin pad to absorb wound exudate;
• Unless prescribed by a doctor, replace Grassolind whenever changing dressings.

Contraindications

Grassolind neutral should not be used when hypersensitivity to one of its components is verified.

Special instructions

• Sterile content as long as the packaging remains intact.
• Store in a horizontal position, in a dry place and at a temperature below 40ºC.
